TURNING HEADS

In Greek mythology, the nymph Clytie loved the sun god Apollo so deeply, she was transformed into a beautiful sunflower that turned its head to follow the light.\\This was the ancient Greeks' explanation for the phenomenon known as heliotropism.  a sunflower plant in the growing bud stage tracks the sun's movement in a 180-degree arc, horizon to horizon. Overnight, it resets to face east and then follows the sun west again. Once the flower opens, movement stops, with the mature plant facing east.
